Stop using heat as much as possible. Pantene Pro V has a split end spray at the store and you spray it as a leave in conditioner after the shower daily. Buy a once a week hair mask for intensive conditioning treatment. And try not to use chemicals such as bleach or dye.

Every month or so you should go get your tips trimmed about an inch. Also, using a good shampoo and switching around prevents split ends. Switching around shampoos and comditioners just makes your hair a mess. Also..... try not to straighten, curl or blowdry TOO much. That dries up hair as well.

The split ends are not breaking your hair. Your hair is breaking because its weak. Take lots of vitamin E rich foods. To get rid of the split ends, you have to get your hair cut & cut them of. No products claiming to "repair" split ends will do so, because they just mask the split ends, they dont actualy repair them. If you don't get your split ends cut, your hair will grow much slower.

You are causing the split ends through lack of conditioner, and too much product and too hard brushing. Cut them off, and start treating your hair more gently.

Split ends ARE hair breakage.

Don't brush your hair wet.

ALWAYS COMB wet hair--from the bottom up.
