Do you think people are alittle to generous with hug and kiss icons on NSN ,AIM and other site like that .To people they do not really know or have not even meet.And affectionate name and stuff like that they would not do in person.

It's because you can't show friendliness or affection through your tone of voice, or by giving someone a casual touch of the hand that helps build rapport in friendships offline.

yeah, i think it's silly. People give me lots of hugs and kisses online when I know that in real life, we wouldn't touch each other.
People even use LOL or LMAO a lot just to give you an indication that they find something funny, but it's not like they really laugh out loud at all.

Sometimes. People who may feel as though they cant be affectionate in person love to express it over instant messengers.

hug n kiss r common in public,it's nothing special,it's just a token of "thank u".i always do that in many occasions.

duh. it's part of the internet subculture to debase love and affection and make it so commonplace there is no real meaning anymore
