Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

Cain had many brothers and sisters. Some may have love Able very much and may have sought to seek revenge.
Also history shows that every first born son would inherit more than their siblings. Giving reason to kill your way to the top.
Eve is quote in Genesis as saying that she produced a male with God’s help.
Adam records the genealogical line of Cain. Cain married one of his sisters.
Both Adam and Eve felt that Cain and his descendents would bring forth the savior of mankind because he was the first born son. Gen. 3:15.
Both failed to realize that Jehovah was still in control of the mater and he would chose which family line Jesus would come from. Seth, like Able, proved to be more conscience of his spiritual needs and received the blessing of being one of Jesus’ ancestors.

Adam And Eve had more children that Cain and Able and Seth. Those are the ones that God was concerned about for us to know. When Cain was getting ready to leave, he knew he had done wrong, and would be killed for killing someone. He married someone in his family.

Cain married Zillah, Genesis 4:22 NIV.

Cain was afraid of not being in the Lords presence.

13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."

15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so [e] ; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, [f] east of Eden.

Genesis 5 mentions that Adam and Eve had MANY other sons and daughters. We have no idea how old Cain was when he killed Able, and we have no idea how many other children Adam and Eve had (or if Able had any children). There very easily could've been more relatives on the earth.

Adam and Eve had many children. And yes at that point they intermarried. Any number of them would have hunted Cain down to avenge their brother. We are only told of the names of a few of Adam and Eve's children because they are the main story line of the Bible.

My guess is that God created other humans after he created Adam and Eve, or at the same time.

And as to the offerings - Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil (not the best) - but Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock ( the best) .

This comparison should show us why God wants us to give of our best to Him.

At that time people lived much longer than today. So I would presume he feared the vengeance of his yet-to-be-born siblings, aunts, uncles, etc.
