I think you can believe it's luck if you'd like, or you can believe it was God's will. The important thing is that he was there to save him, is it not?

It was his doing. All by himself. There was no god in the process. Perhaps it was lukc or call it fate or destiny or whatever. People put so much emphasis on god being all there is. It kind of devalues humans, doesn't it.
It sounds like that without god we humans are evil, barbaric scum who wouldn't help one another or do anything good. It's a load of rubbish. People become what they are through their upbringing. Not god pulling the puppet strings.

There are no accidents in life. We human beings are powerful. Therefore, it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not. If you are at the right place at the right time, you created it. If you are at the wrong place at the wrong time, you created it.
It think that's a harder pill to swallow then some mythological rule book. I mean, think about it... You create your own reality? That's something that is not easily accepted by most people, but people are coming around to finding out that, that is precisely what we do.

of course he is a good person. But I fully believe that the major events in our lives are decided, but it is up to us as to which path we take to get there. So maybe it was God who made sure he was were he was. Just a thought
But I do agree regardless, yes he was a good person

I think that if the man hadn't done it, and the stranger had been killed by the train, they would have put the blame on the man for not trying to save him.

I think it takes an incredible man to do that... let me ask you this: how many people do you think would have done that? What are the chances that it just so happens that such a good person would happen to be there at that moment? Obviously pretty slim as he was the only person who made the move. He is a good person but God placed him there to do his deed.

If you believe in destiny then one might say that it was meant to happen. Certaintly he was a good person, someone not afraid to die himself who happened to be there. There are only a few of them out there. Generally i would say that We people make our destinies from our actions but still there are things are out of our control and that's when fate comes in.
