Why do schools say one thing is bad for you and replace it with something worse?

I go to WWHS (Walt Whitman High School) and they use to give us frys. Then one day they sayed frys are bad and got rid of them. They replaced them with hash browns. They are fattyer then any french fry i have ever saw WWHS and the whole US goverment food sucks. The test i did was take a Mc donals fry and a a hash brown and squesd them into a napkin. the Hash brown coverd the napkin and the fry only half.

There is probably less fat in the hashbrowns than you think. Flavor can be added in ways other than fats. Many states are requiring lunch programs to provide healthier foods. Most states tried not to go cold turkey on the students and cut out all "bad fats". The hashbrowns may be "good fat" (such as olive oil) and the fat in the fries may have been "bad fat".
I'm not sure about your test results--was the portion of hash browns the exact same size as the french fry? Since you are a McDonald's fan you might want to rent the movie "Supersize Me". It's a real eye opener about fast foods. And the additional segment where the french fry kept for several weeks does not mold is interesting.
