How evolution and creation are even close to each other in the race for public schools?
Evolution is scientific thery note the word SCIENTIFIC, So in turn it should be taught in ya know science class.
Creation is something found in a 2,000 year old religious book. Not all people follow that relgion and if you want people to hear it send them to private school or homeschool them.
This just stupid how people think they are even close to each other on any scale.
I am the kind of person who does look down apon ANY relgion being taught in school even my own.
And FYI evolution is a religious thing.
This is as ridiculous as Harry Potter book bans.

Well when i say theory that means to be decided on but with strong possibility.
Not fact.
Not fiction.
We may never know.

If i thought my opinion was the only one that mattered then why would I waste my time making this question in the first place?

They aren't, evolution exists and the other is just a religious sub-thought.

Theory: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena
Hypothesis: a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences
Fact: something that has actual existence; the quality of being actual
as far as evolution being fact, I don't think doppelganger said it was. In fact, I seem to be reading the word theory.
There is a difference between the words hypothesis, theory and, fact. A hypothesis is a thought. When people say, "I have a theory" they are in fact misusing the word. They have a hypothesis. When a hypothesis has been tested and the data supports the hypothesis, it I presented to the scientific body. When the hypothesis is tested and retested with the data to be found correct, then it becomes a generally accepted principle, and from there, theory. Theory does not become fact until it cannot be disproved.
We teach theory all the time, theory of relativity for example.
Creationism is a belief of a culture of people. No, it can't be disproved, but that doesn't make it fact. It can't be tested, so that makes it a hypothesis that many believe in.
If public schools can't teach the bible, can't pray in school, can't mention the word god, then they can't teach creationism as fact. Nor can they teach evolution as fact. They can teach it as theory, just as they teach 99.9% of the rest of science.
I highly doubt that doppelganger had a poor education. After all, the nic alone says, “I have a vocabulary.”

As a teacher, it is noticeable that someone has not done their homework. Evolution is a scientific theory, note the word THEORY. Be sure to study all positions on a subject, and respect all the positions. You do not have to agree with them, you do not have to understand them, but you should respect them......(Shocking as it might seem, students and teachers are concerned about a great many issues in the school system, and this subject is not at the top of the list.)There are many respected scholars that make connections to the belief of creationism and evolution. You should read about those connections. If you were referring to the text in the Bible, there are parts that are much older than 2000 years. In addition, have you checked with the believers of the Muslim faith?

All teachers schooled in the theories of modern ontology would be totally incapable of teaching creation anyway so it would be a farce. Most people schooled in religion would fare no better. So in the prefect world where Biology teachers even did research into evolutionary theory with an eye to the discrepancies and where religion teachers studied creation from a biological prospective we would find that micro evolution is a fact but determinism as taught by Huxley and to some extent by Darwin requires as much or more just plain faith as creation.
Just who is your God.

I don't say that they are close. I say creation is another theory. I believe it to be fact as you believe evolution to be fact. Any theory based on "scientific" evidence or "religion" should not be one sided.
There is archaeological evidence which suggests the religious account of how and where we came from could be plausible. There is evidence that it is a plausible theory. So why be one sided. Leave faith and religion out of it and study the findings.
Even science eludes to what I am saying to be correct. See evolution is taught without experiments, without ANY proof it is a true theory and only that.
God Bless

Yes I have always had problems with this too. They say, "if you are going to teach evolution in Biology you should have to teach creationism too." No we shouldn't. Evolution should be taught in Biology because it is a biological theory. Creasinism is not. It should be taught in a Religious class.

The reason why these two are close in race is that people have come to realize that evolution has been proved false time and time again and therfors want to get it into the brais of everyone at any chance that they can get. Religious people who have come to accept the fact that we were created by God, are also trying to do the same.
Every single scientist knows that evolution is false and that we were created by a higher being than oursleves (God). Any one who says otherwise is trying to fuel a LIE. There are some very simple debates that have in the long and short run proven why evolution is wrong and so on and so forth.

Evolution creates a contextual framework for studying all of biology. Creationism helps to read a few pages of the Bible.

Every single one without exception, eh? Even the ones who are studying it? Wow. This is the mindset of the people who are arguing the case against evolution. It pains me to think there are people like this.

You are right. In other countries this isnt a problem. Evolution is taught as science. Its amazing to me that European schools are so far ahead of American schools. We have this attitude of supiority, but our schools are being influenced by people with no sense of logic. People, open your eyes!
