You loaded the question. Yes, but probably not precisely 2007 years ago. Yeah people will argue that He was fiction, or that He wasn't really God, and that there really isn't even any God at all. You can be as sincere as you like, and still be sincerely wrong. I've got nothing to lose by believing in a trinitarian God. The evidence is all there. Our task is whether or not we're going to believe it. I never met Socrates, but I believe he existed, based on written documents.

AD means Annus Domini (Year of our Lord) in Latin, not After Death. It's since the calculated date of His birth, although some modern scholars think they may have accidentally gotten it wrong by 2 to 7 years or so, since the first Christian calendar was created years after His Ascension would have occured.

Neither, since it's accepted that Jesus wasn't born in 0 AD.

It's supposed to be the years since His birth. However, there's some evidence that He was actually born 2-6 years earlier.

LOL. His birth, however, while the guy who put together the Gregorian clandar did a good job considering it was mideval europe, there is evidence that it is a few years off. But hey the guy did the best he could with what he had and I am very suprised he came that close.
