my stomach isn't flat, i have flabby arms, my thighs are big, and my calves look like they're swollen(my boyfriend said). I want to look better for him but i really hate working out cuz then i'd get alot of attention from my family. like what are things that i can do while i'm sitting at the computer or watching t.v.???

Well, if you got attention from your family, it would be good! But if you really want to tone, you're going to have to put a bit of work into it. I know some exercises though that don't require anything you don't already have, and you can use weights if you want for extra workouts.

1. Wall sits- Stand with your back against the wall and lower yourself down until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your feet far enough out so that they are directly under your knees when you sit. Hold for 10-15 seconds, do 5-8 reps. This works the top of your thighs.
2. Tricep workout- sit on a sturdy chair. Move yourself off the chair, forward and lower down close to the ground, still keeping your arms on the chair. Keep your elbows parallel to you, and push yourself up. Never touch the ground and always keep tension on your arms while doing the exercise. Make sure you feel your triceps working. Do 3 sets of 10-12 reps
3. Inner thighs- Lay on the ground/sturdy mat on your side. Move the leg that is underneath you slightly forward. Lift it up, towards the sky, and release back down. However, you should never touch the floor again with that leg until you've finished the exercise. Do 3 sets of 12-15 reps. Don't go too fast, go slow enough to feel it working.

Remember to keep your abs tight while doing these exercises and your back straight. Hope this helps! Good luck.

i wiegh 210 lbs and lost 20 lbs this way and i hate excersizing in front of people because im afraid to ,so to loose weight i do touchy toesies like 100 of them per day in sets of twenty (only takes like a couple of seconds.so you wont get busted),100 crunches (can be done while laying on ones bed) i do these right before bed although people say not to but hey ill do what i want . besides if i wait till morning. im lazy in the morning. so that doesebt work for me.do some sqats if you want thoes will help with your butt and leggs and calfs. do the touchey tosies every day but dont ever overdo it . just a little at a time till your body becomes acoustomed to it .you will start to see some results within two weeks i promise. measure yourself before and after if you dont believe me .dont over do it, if you do it wont do any good whatsoever you will have a workout schedual like i used to have where i would work out really hard one week then the next i would set around the house cause i was burnt on excersize and wonder why i wanst loosing weight.get a thigh master thoes are cheep at secondstores and also do some firming of the inner thigh (the hardest part to get a good work out on,to loose fat on) drink lots of filtered water .8 cups of water per day plus 1 extra cup for every 10 lbs that your over weight if you dont like just water add a littlle lemon sometimes( i love sour stuff) or make sure its ice cold water is the most important thing when it comes to loosing weight when i stop drinking water i put wieght on at an alarming rate

It sounds like you also need to lose weight. There are several exercises you can do to tone up without working out a sweat, however this won't help you lose weight. What I do while watching a movie are Calf Raises, I'll stand up with my feet spread and my arms straight hands against a flat surface like a door or staircase railing and slowly raise up on my toes and then come back down but not all the way (the heel should not come in contact with the ground). This helps tone up your legs. I'll also watch TV and lay flat with my arms beside me and slowly lift my legs up (knees slightly bent) and then back down (but not touching the floor) in repetitions of as many as I can tolerate. This one helps tighten your ABS. You can sit at your computer on a big blow up ball (instead of chair) to strenghten your back and ABS. But you really need to start walking, and increase the distance every day. This will tone all areas of your body. And as for diet . . .

The most important thing is don't skip meals! When you skip a meal, your body reacts by slowing down your energy reserves and burning muscle not fat. So eat frequently but small meals. Eat healthy too, no junk food, fast food, sugary foods, soda's or high fat foods. Dairy and meat products are high in fat, so if you must eat these cut down on your intake. Eat Lot's of fresh veggies and fruits, and whole grain rice, pasta's and breads. Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day. Good luck!

First of all, you have to stop worrying about what other people think. If your boyfriend doesn't like your calves, let him go find someone with calves he likes. If you family doesn't like you getting in shape, its likely because it makes them feel as though they should be doing something as well.

But. Indulging you...

Get an ab roller, if you can't get one, make one. Its basically a stick with a wheel on it. You get on all fours on the floor and hold it in front of you, you wheel it forward as far out as you can, and wheel yourself back up to all-fours. It works out your core like nothing else.

To lose bodyfat, you need cardio. Find a park nearby, tell your family you're going for a walk. Jog. 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes and I guarantee you can be where you want a lot faster than you ever thought.

Once your bodyfat is where you want it, you can more accurately decide where you want to increase musclemass, and go on from there.

Hmmm.. Its somewhat difficult. Anyway we can try.. If you have good control on your food routine then you can see some changes.. Avoid milk items and rice.. Take a lot of fruits and water.. Then wheat is a great medicine for toning your muscles.. You can sit on computer and watch TV. But don't sleep a lot.. All the best..
