i was in class the other day, and i guess these guys thought i was hot, but i am a quiet girl. i want to have a boyfriend so bad, but i am not desperate. everybody says i look like i am sad and pouting. anyways, they said i had a hot body, but a bad personality, so the one guy tells his friend,"you can totally get that, if she has a crappy personality, shes a virgin i heard, so the sex will be great, so you can date her for sex at least. i happened to overhear, and i was so sad i almost cried. how do i know if any guy that asks me out isnt like that? i dont want to be used as a sex doll! btw i am only 16 and a virgin, and i am scared to have sex!

at 16 you do not need to worry about having sex.
Do not Jump into things with a guy you do not TRULY know.
There are a lot of guys out there that will say or do ANYTHING to get in your pants. Take you time and do not Rush it.

Sometimes guys can sense this, and yes, they'll use it for their advantage. If you do have a boyfriend......then tell them from the start that you are NOT having sex with them....then make sure that they understand you. Stay a virgin until your wedding night, that is the best thing. That way you can totally give your whole self to your husband. Just to give you some pointers......having sex is not a way to prove love....so don't let them use that line on you. If they say if they have to have sex or they may get sick, then tell them to get sick........that is another favorite line. An old preacher lady told me this, and I've never forgot it. She said that love can wait 5 years, lust can't wait 5 minutes. Think about that, and apply it to your life. I wish you only the best of luck. Have a great day.

I think guys can tell when a girl is lonely or desperate. They will use that to take advantage especially teenage guys. Just don't rush in you will find someone eventually. If you rush to have a boyfriend too fast you may end up being with a jerk. All I can say is value yourself for who you are.

a lot of guys can often tell when a woman is lonely, and, as much as i hate to say this, some will try to use it to their advantage. my advice is this: wait until you meet someone you don't believe will do this. date them for a while, see what he's really like, if he pressures you AT ALL, and i do mean AT ALL, he's not worth it. it is your decision, not his, and he should have no say in anything when it comes to your body. don't let him trick you or make you feel guilty bc you dont want too, and don't let him get something else from you (oral, handjob, w/e) from that guilt, because that is a really BAD thing, that's NO respect for you at all. if all else fails, wait. your 16, you dont' NEED a boyfriend. your young, you have plenty of time, and as ppl age they generally get more mature, so by waiting you might make your first time a really special one, instead of some asshole you just has sex with you and leaves. basically, RESPECT yourself, and find someone who truly respects you, likes you, and doesnt' pressure you.

If you are lonely it probably has a way of showing (people in pain don't look quite the same as happy people :p ). Some guys won't use it to their advantage but there are guys that will. Don't settle for a guy that will lie to you and use you; he will just take alot (your feelings, your body) from you and you will regret it. You're better off waiting for the right kind of man. Sorry that you feel lonely, but take it slow and try to build intimacy with people that are trustworthy, kind and won't take advantage of you.

I am so proud to hear that you are saving yourself and you should be proud of yourself. You should try smiling more often. NOt only will it make everyone around you feel better but it will make you feel better. dont be shy . a smile just says you happy no matter what. and you would be surprised how a smile brings out the beauty. yes. most guys can tell ... and only hook up with him if you don't expect anything from return. and only if you are ok with him flirting and going out with other girls in front of you.
