What makes them think that they can discriminate against someone carrying some wine from getting in a cab and getting somewhere? How is a bottle of wine so offensive?
In New Orleans and Cincinnati, what about the blind citizens of this country who have every right to take ANY cab they please to get them where they need to go?
These cab drivers won't allow dogs in their cabs either.

What's next, a Muslim demanding equal employment at a grocery store, and then refusing to check through liquor and pork chops!
Special licenses are given to cabbies servicing the International airports in question (the wine is in clear plastic bags), Seeing Eye Dogs are included in this ban which clearly violates the Federal laws regarding handicapped people.
I don't buy the argument one bit that if they mark their cars (which they have) it is our responsibility to find another taxi. What kind of an uproar would be caused if You owned a business, and had a big sign warning that you did not serve: (pick a few) *******, Whiteys, Jews, Chinks, *******, Women, Men, Ladies in long skirts, Fundamentalist Christians, Atheists, Catholics, Ugly People, Beautiful People or MUSLIMS..... The authorities would have you closed down in an hour, right?
I agree with the lady about taking away their licenses, and charging them with any applicable crimes. If they aren't American citizens (many are Somalians) send them back to that lovely paradise from which they escaped.

The wine thing makes me upset, but I'm hoping that the power of capitalism will hit their wallets and make them treat everyone equally.
The seeing eye dog thing.... I just don't see how that's even legal. It's discrimination against a disabled person which is a serious no-no. I doubt Allah (assuming he exists, which I don't) would be pleased.
Edit: And hear-hear on Mr. Penguin and the birth control thing. Nothing burns me up more than being denied service because I'm not the "right" religion.

It is very sad...but nobody says we have to ride in their cab. Maybe without a fare, they will realize that discrimination doesn't work.

What makes Christian pharmacists think they can refuse to honor prescriptions for morning-after or birth control pills?

Yes, it is clear discrimination and a violation of our constitution. It is no different then not picking up black people by white cabdrivers. Any one who thinks different is an idiot. I hope they fine them and take away there licenses.

those cab drivers should have their licences revoked, and their cars impounded.
