with my daughter no cream worked nothing not even the presciption stuff. What we had to do was buy corn starch you can get it at the grocery store. Layed her down on a towel on the floor or somewhere and put the corn starch all over her bottom and let it stay on there for a little while. And we would get it cold like in the fridge for a little bit cause that made her feel good and by the morning the diaper rash was gone.

Hello! Keeping the area dry and clean is the most important thing, so changing the diaper more frequently until the rash clears up will help. Use warm water and cotton balls to clean the area instead of baby wipes - it's more comfortable for the baby and better for the skin. Dry the area completely, and then sprinkle a little cornstarch baby powder on the area. Then use butt cream - I always use Aquaphor. You can buy it at Walgreens or CVS. If the rash doesn't improve within 1 or 2 days, try switching to an anti-fungal cream, like Neosporin Anti-Fungal. If it's a yeast type of rash, that will clear it up. Really bad diaper rashes can cause nasty skin infections, so consult your baby's doctor if things get worse rather than better. Good luck!

Make sure it's not a yeast diper rash, your doctor can give you a persciption cream that will clear it up in a few days, for regular diaper rash butt paste is great, also cornstarch and just having the diper off.

Take a large pot and bring water to a boil place various chammomile teabags then place in refrigerator until cold, toss various gauze or cotton balls try to squeeze by babys affected area also you can fill a small tub with like 1 inch and let the baby sit in it the chammomile will soothe and is an anti infammatory, I know what your going through I have 3 after each time you use the chammomile then spread a thick amount of desitin it truly works good luck and god bless the baby

Metanium cream is excellent for this as is Sudocrem.
Also leave babies diaper off for a short while each day to allow air to get to the area.
If the rash is really bad I would get advice from your GP too.

Sudocream is great for diaper rashes. And even just a skin lotion too, not only for babies, but for adults.
You can get it at walmart or any drug store

Some creams are 40% zinc, some are less, so check the label. You'll want the better stuff.
If it just won't clear it might be a yeast problem. 7 day Monistat should be okay, but call the pediatrician and get his opinion just in case!

Put corn starch on it, then let the child go diaper-free for a day or 2. If you use cloth diapers, stop---and use disposables, at least for a while. Use the zinc-based ointment, like A&D.
