Dogs respond differently to these pain killers than humans do, as they metabolize them differently.
You should really call your vet to see which one and how much is OK for your dog. Unless the dog's pain is chronic, such as arthritis, pain meds are not usually recommended, as the pain itself keeps the dog from being too active, which helps it heal better..
Don't ever give a dog aspirin unless it is buffered, such as Bufferin or baby aspirin,,Baby aspirin, in small dosage, is safer than the others that you listed..

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are not designed for use in dogs or cats or anything other than humans. You will make your dog incredibly sick and it will cost you hundreds of dollars to save him, if it doesn't kill him. People on here will tell you to use baby asprin and other things and say its fine to use tylenol, but it is NOT. I have nursed so many dogs that have been given these products and have suffered toxicity from them. He will be right until you get to the vet. If you are really concerned, dont wait until tomorrow, get to an emergency vet now. Well awie, I'm certified too, with a degree and you will never ever see me telling a client that they can give their pets asprin. You have clearly NOT see what it can do. And for all of you giving me thumbs down, you are all fools. Go ahead and self medicate your pets with human drugs and when they all drop dead I'll try not to say I told you so. I said before that you sholuldnt give human drugs to pets because you cannot assume that the people reading the answers on here are aware enough of what they are doing to use the right ones! They are not vets, and if you just blaintantly state that you can use human meds, you are asking for trouble. How about start advising that they take their pet to the vet??? Common sense should tell you that anyway.

DO NOT give them tylenol or IBP
You can give them baby asprin. not adult asprin
Yes you can give them baby asprin. I had a dog with bad joints and the vet told me to help it out give him a baby asprin everyday. If it is a small dog just a half and if it is a big dog then a whole

Don't give tylonol or ibuprofren. It can have a baby asprin but don't give too many and don't continue to treat the pain with this. If it still in pain after a day or two you need to get pain killers from your vet because human pain killers are designed for a dogs body and can effect the organs. You can give one tablet like twice a day but be sure to go get the proper meds if the pain persists.

I give my dog 81mgs of asprin a day for aches and pains. I have talked to my vet about this. Do not give anymore than this! It can cause GI upset, plus possible bleeding. keep a good eye on your pet.
Do not give tylenol or ibuprofren, as it may/will cause bleeding!!

Call your vet for more details!!

Not enough info, but I think not. How is your dog injured? Do you know specifically what has caused the injury? Do you know if your dog has internal injuries, perhaps bleeding inside? Has your dog been seen by a vet? If not, that is what needs to be done.
Even if the injury is mild, giving pain reliever could actually cause the dog to injure itself worse because the pain is masked and the dog may run or jump or do something else to make the injury worse as it would not feel the pain.
Your dog could have a fracture, muscle tears, internal injuries, even a metabolic imbalance, giving pain meds desiged for humans and without a veterinarians approval could harm or kill your dog.

Absolutely NO Tylenol or Ibuprophen, they are toxic to dogs...Asprin can be used but ONLY on advisement from a vet. The dose must be very specific..do NOT self medicate!!

NO! Ibuprofen can cause serious liver damage as can aspirin. Never give an animal human medications without consulting a vet to clear it first. No one here can tell you what to give or how much because we don't know the situation or the size of the dog nor are we vets - though I've seen a couple say they were or vet's assistants giving out bad information!

Call the vet emergency line till you can take it in on Monday. You can give dogs baby asprin but you need to find out how much, thus call the hotline number first.

l don't think you should give your pet any of them unless the vet told you and why he would l don't know, but they have pain meds for pets and your vet will give you some after he check it out. so if it is hurt, take it to the vet and seek his/her advice. that is what l will do. do not give your pet any meds unless your vet say. that is rule number 2. number 1 is to treat your pet with the most love that you can and will do for one of your children.a love that goes far greater then any love there is. l hope it feels better soon. and lots of luck. take care
