The easiest thing to use is called a "china cap," but most people don't have that in their kitchens. It's a cone shaped, semi-solid strainer with a handle. Handled wire mesh strainers will work, but be careful as you are going to be much more prone to splashing yourself and the handles are generally not as sturdy unless you have a fairly good one.

Cheesecloth in a colander. You can get your cheesecloth in your local supermarket and use a large colander with big holes in it. Make sure you have a bowl under it all to catch what you've strained. I say that because I'm reminded of the time I strained for some turkey soup only to lift the colander up and find the last of my soup base go down the freaking drain! I felt like I just cheated myself stupidly!

A colander or strainer with the smallest holes. You might have to press down with the back of a spoon to get all the liquid out.

Simple answer: a strainer.

It shouldn't have a screen that's too fine, but it should be too wide open, else there's no point in straining it.
