I have a DLP projector (1080i) hooked up to my media center PC. Using a DVI cable on the "out" side of the video card, but only a coax input is available for the input in my TV card. I have DISH HD service, but my picture looks blurry from the projector. I'm loding the HD signal due to the MCPC. Is there a stand-alone HD-upconvert available that I could put between the PC and projector to get a HD picture?

Update...the resolution of both PC and projector are set at 1280x720. I could just hook up the DISH box directly to the projector, but then I lose the MCPC functions (detailed guide, DVR, etc.). Thanks in advance for further advice :)

Your PC most probably has NOT a satellite tuner, so connecting your Dish cable to your PC is not going to help.

Connect the HDMI cable (or component cables) from the set-top directly to the TV.

You can connect your PC to your TV, but make sure you use the correct display resolution on your graphics card. Most DLPs have 1280x720, but check the User manual. If you don't put the correct resolution, the TV will have to scale, and that causes blurry pictures.

You can get an HD picture, as long as the resolution is 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1080 (1080p). What resolution are you displaying on your projector?

You realize that you probably can get a higher picture if you connect the HD receiver directly to your projector via DVI or component.

first you have to check if your videocard is HDCP enabled.
