Today I ate:
Ok, so I've been pigging out on xmas chocolate and candy, for the last few days. How much weight am I gonna gain, and is it going to have any adverse affects on my health?

Today alone, i ate:
5 chocolate covered cookies
9 peanut butter hersheys kisses
10 Jelly beans
4 Mint Chocolate sticks
2 Mini oreos
A giant brownie

and I'm still hungry... Help?
in addition to this, I had about 200 calories for breakfast, close to 800 calories for lunch, and around 500 for dinner... I lost count of the grams of fat, but I'm sure there are OODLES.
I still wanna eat, and just start over tomorrow... Help??!

It could - it sounds like you are on a binge. I can tell you that often times Chromium can help get your sugar back into balance - and often very quickly. Here's a link to what I use:

In the meantime, get yourself some protein (like a steak or a cheeseburger or fish or even nuts) and do some exercise with the extra sugar rush you have so far to help minimize the damage this binge will do for you.

In an aside not, I find your question interesting because I am seeing a lot of questions like this lately and depression questions too it seems. It seems like a combination of the christmas is over blues, too little sun light (SAD) and a feeling that the year ahead is going to be very important, coupled with the nerves and stage fright that goes along with it. I think we all need to breath deeply and be extra kind to ourselves, just now. There is time enough for everything and what we need to do now is relax and take care of ourselves.

Peace!

PS - it may sound crazy, but in our house we often just have to throw away the left over goodies or give them to neighbor kids or something - and then just go back to not buying the stuff.

You counted your Jelly Beans!!!!!!!! Impressive

Ok this was today and tomorrow is a new day. Don't beat yourself up of what has happened today - just start new tomorrow and do better for your body by not giving it all that sugar. Don't forget to drink your water - remember a lot of the time when we think we are hungry we are really just thirsty.

Scientific evidence indicates that diets high in sugars do not cause diabetes. The most common type of diabetes occurs in overweight adults. Avoiding sugars alone will not correct overweight. To lose weight, reduce the total amount of calories from the food you eat and increase your level of physical activity.

A few days of extra calories shouldn't hurt you, but I generally don't recommend eating more than 400 calories/meal if you're watching your weight. Eating large portions will stretch your stomach, and it will take more and more to feel "full".

A lot of diets (meal plans) will allow for a "free day" once a week... you watch your intake closely for 6 days, then you have a free day. Of course, people will binge on their free day, feel sick to their stomach, and eventually conclude it's not worth it.

Find something to keep you busy so you aren't focused on your hunger. Also, snacks like pickles have 0 calories.

um for one, if you are soo concerned about your health why did you eat these things in the first place? Second, since you are still hungry why not incorporate salads, lean meats and fruits into that diet. Stop eating those empty calories and sugars they will only make you more hungry.

Eat some protein. When you eat sweets your blood sugar goes up, then your body sends out insulin to control it. When the insulin takes effect your blood sugar goes down and you feel hungry again. So stop with the sweets to break this cycle.

If you're still hungry try eating some fruits or veggies they satisfy you longer and you actually get nourishment from it. If you're craving chocolate try dipping some fruit in melted chocolate, that way you can kill two birds with one stone. You will feel full longer and still get your sweet fix.

Why not eat a sandwich or some fruit instead of a bunch of junk? Yes, eating like that will have a negative impact on your health.

PORTION control...and eat something with some kind of something to it. These things may not have a huge effect on your health TODAY...but keep eating like this and you'll start feeling like **** soon. It's alrite to have sweets, but maybe just one of each tomorrow.....

consuming processed sugars is the main cause of diabetes...and the reason you're still hungry is because processed sugar has no nutritional value so your body is still craving nutrients.
