i really like this girl in my class(im 14) and i want to ask her out to the movies, will i look despirate/stupid looking her phone number up in the phone book and calling her and asking? i couldnt get a chance to ask her for her phone number in school, so. what should i do??

don't look it up in the phonebook - it will make you look like a dork. anywayz, if you can't get the chance to talk to her in school, maybe one of her friends? or maybe figure out her scedule and get yourself to her 1st preiod before the late bell rings... u will probably see her then... and be able to ask her

Hmmm. It depends how well you know her.
At your age, getting too forward can be embarassing. You are better to find excuses to talk to her in school but if you are really brave, you can try.
Make sure you not what you are going to say. If she does not talk to you in school and you phone her and she does not like you, it probsbly will be known by everyone the next day.
A creative mind can find reasons to talk to a girl. Better to start with ones that are romantic. At least make sure she likes you somewhat.
Oh and DON'T be desperate. This is a major turn off for girls. Girls will always like you better if they feel like they have a choice not that they are obligated to be with you.
You got time and if it does not work out, there are other girls.

Actually, at any age, you might look like a stalker.
I would wait and try again next week. You need to get her number from her. If this thing is meant to be, it's worth a little delay to start off on the right foot.
However, the ladies on this one seem to be on the other side. :) Run with that...if they think it's cool, maybe so will your girl.

Ask for her phone number in person, or from somebody who has the actual number. She's probably not even listed in the phone book!

My daughter is 14 years old and she would love it if a boy she secretly liked called her up and asked her to a movie. She would never think you were desperate. She would be thrilled that she didn't have to make a first move (which she'd never do!!). On the other hand, if she didn't like the boy, she'd never think him desperate if he asked her out. She'd be flattered. (and probably go out with him as a friend). So don't be afraid.. Ask away. If she does treat you bad than you know she isn't worth adding to your list of friends.

it all depends. if you two talk more than the normal hey, like you hang out even time to time at school then no. but if you are always the one starting to convo ALL THE TIME then probably so
