First of all, do you mean your hood? It is really, really hard to pierce your clit and most women do not have the correct anatomy for it.

Also, if you're talking about getting a genital piercing for stimulation, the hood is the only one for that purpose. All other ones are just for aesthetics.

I have my hood pierced and love it. It has heightened sensitivity a lot. It didn't hurt very much to pierce and it healed before the end of the week.

I haven't taken mine out yet (I've had it for over a year) so I'm not sure of the changes. However, since the piercing isn't actually on the clit, but just laying on it, the sensitivity shouldn't change, but the sensation will (does that make sense?!). To clarify, I don't think that it will actually change how sensitive I am, but I think it'll be weird to go back to not having a ball on my clit.

you have to remember- you are opening your body up to infection anytime you 'pierce' something. that's really not a spot I'd want an infection in/on. Also, the HPV virus can be spread sexually even when using a condom- just from skin to skin contact. This is the virus that is responsible for cervical cancer. I know people who say that this type of piercing is wonderful, but I would argue that there are much more safe/appealing spots to get it done. I have the tragus of my ear pierced and it's a very pleasing piercing to have touched/played with (it did take forever to heal). Do you have other piercings? I wouldn't launch into the whole piercing realm with this as your first.

OK. I have had my clit pierced for almost 10 years, and I love the piercing just as much as the day that I got it. No loss of ANYTHING!!

I have pierced many clits, and lots of other body parts (I have been doing this professionally for over 7 years now....) and I have never once had anyone complain about loss of feeling or sensation. As long as you continue to take of your piercing, you can keep it in indefinitely!!

go 4 clit hood - the piercing aint near ur nerves but the ball feels great against ur clit it also has a great healing time of as little as a couple of weeks
after a week or 2 the feelings become slightly less intense as it has heald so u r less aware of the new piercing bt it still feels amazing.
iv never heard of anyone having dead nerves from either a clit or clit hood piercing but ultimately the choice is urs .. have fun xchillix

According to several shows I've seen on the subject, they usually do not pierce the clitoris. The most popular female genital piercing is a "vertical clitoral hood" piercing. Depending on what jewelry you have in, the clit will be stimulated. The nerves do not go dead, but you end up not noticing it as much over time.

And yes, I think it's a great idea. If you get it done, I would love to see some pictures.

hun, leave your body alone. there are other ways of feeling sexier. it does not have to be a clit piercing, and it will cause you horrible pain and difficulty in aling for several days. think carefully hun, and think it through. it might've been good idea to some people who have it, but it might turn out really bad for you. you could get an infection. don't take a risk of something necessary. it's not worth it. it's our call, after all. think it through.

WELL ITS YOUR bODY.
That piercing does have alot of risk attatched to it....Yes your nerves can go dead, yes it has twice the chance of getting infected over any other surface piercing, and those infections ARENT pretty, Yes you can have scar tissue there permanently, it can also tear easiliy...But opinion would be skip the clit piercing. Pierce something else....you want your privates to be infectiond free

My advice would be to tell you that if you want a TRUE hypoallergenic clit ring, you have to go with oak wood. And none of that pansy sanded down stuff. I'm talking about splintery 8 inch twigs grinding in your pants.

NO! it is not a good idea. As stated above, it is a very bad idea! and for all the reasons cited. (If you want to mutilate your genitals and destroy any chance of sexual pleasure, why not go to one of those african nations that will do it for you? If you want to risk the chance of ever getting pregnant due to pelvic inflammatory disease scarring caused by infections, you just need to sleep around...maybe, p/u cervical cancer, too.) But, having had the wisdom to ask for opinions...please, also show the wisdom to heed the advice! Do not do it and stop contemplating it.

Ugh no...why would you want that? Aside from it being dangerous and painful, it's POINTLESS! Nobody will see it unless you walk around nude all the time.
Don't do it.
Just the thought makes me shudder. Ouch!
