Well this guy and I work together and we are going to see a movie sometime in the next few days..however I am still too shy to actually call him and have a normal conversation...is there anyway I can get over this quickly without ruining the chances of having an excellent date?

Don't call somebody if you're feeling anxious or nervous, wait until you're in a happy and lively mood.
Thinking about whether or not to call someone will make you more nervous, it's best to just get on with it straightaway when you're upbeat.
If you're going to a movie soon, then you don't really need to call him before then, just wait until the movie night and see how it goes on the date.

Ask him at work if you could call and chat sometime or invite him to dinner before the movie and cook him a nice meal. This will get you talking before the show and more relaxed.

don't worry u done the hard part which was asking him out and now just enjoy the movie. be yourself and relax.
i am sure it will be fine
he seem to like and that was the reason why he agree to go to the movie to don't worry.

try to think of what your going to say before you say it or call him that way when you 2 talk you aren't blank staring at his eyes or awkwardly standing there blushing
