Give it some time. If you don't want your bf to think you broke up with him because of his friend, and you don't want his friend to think you're on the rebound. You should flirt with the friend, don't pursue him just yet, but get his mind on you. It is just trashy to jump right back in the game. You want him to come after you.

That is really bad behavior young lady. How would you feel if your ex-boyfriend went and asked out one of your closest friends? If you go out with his friend that may really hurt him. Unless you go to your ex-boyfriend and be honest with him and tell him of your feelings for his friend. Perhaps he may give you his blessings to date his friend (I doubt it though). And I think it is whether his friend will want to go out with you after you have dated his friend, which is your ex.

why is that a problem? just ask him out if you still want to go out with him. tell him you're sorry and let him know that you still care.
