Since seeing a specialist is not in your budget anymore,
I would recommend to look into the My Simple Card
membership. It will help you get to the doctor and specialists,
as well as get your medicines and sonograms and other
lab work when necessary. You will most likely not be denied.

Your question touched my heart :-)
About medical care and it's costs help, try contacting social workers at local hospitals, also contact the American Heart Association and any other non profit groups that are heart related in your local area. Also some churches have knowledge of low cost/free health programs and some (at least in my area) have members that participate in them.
I would say something like " I have major heart problems and do not have insurance". Do you know of any programs available or have any recommendations for me of programs that I might contact to try and get help." Most ppl will try to help you, or refer you at least. Thank them profusely for their help to encourage them to help others in your situation in the future. If you happen to run across a bad apple, just say a little prayer for them that they figure out how wrong they are and brush it off.
I did a little searching for you. About your hair (scalp) hurting, that is probably a headache, possibly a migraine. Taking aspirin or Ibuprophen (advil) should help it. Here is a link to a website of others that have the same type of pain. http://newsgarden.org/chatters/homepages/alllie/alllieblog/?p=7
It could also possibly be a side effect of meds you are taking, so you might want to research them a little bit to see if that is listed as a side effect.
As far as feeling better, I don't know if this would help you, but for me when I eat healthy and walk a little each day I feel 100% better. What I do is try to eat lots of fruits and veggies, and less processed foods, eat more whole grains, less meats and fats, less caffeine and more water. I've been doing the Rice Diet and it really has helped me to have more energy and lose some weight. Here is a link to that if you are interested. It's free. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_Diet
Here's a link to their website, it is a residence program(no, I can't afford that, either :-)) but the success stories they show are pretty motivating to me to do it myself. http://www.ricedietprogram.com/
I wish you good luck, I will say a prayer for you and I hope you get the answers that you are looking for. take care, Mary

Have you tried applying for disability? While Medicare is usually known for people 65 and older, one can apply for it earlier if you meet certain criteria. You're usually denied after the first application, but you can appeal it. You didn't say whether your working or not, so I'll assume you're not. Have you tried applying for medical assistance. In Wisconsin it's known as Title 19, it goes by other names in other States.
I am a nurse, but the information you supplying is vague and would need further investigation. On just what you said, the pain your experiencing sounds almost like a post herpatic neuralgia commonly caused by shingles. But to be sure, you need further testing and a complete medical history must be obtained.
Most hospitals will not refuse healthcare for lack of insurance. Get help now, seek assistance for the bills later. Medical assistance and medicare disability will back pay if you are accepted. One of the answers said to seek out social services at the hospital. That's good advise! They will be able to direct you to financial assistance for your medical bills.
Best of luck to you

You can go to your local mental health center for the depression and anxiety. Most of them charge based on what kind of money you receive. There are some Comprehensive Care programs where you can see a doctor based on your money. Also some drug companies will help with your meds if you can't afford it. Talk with the doctor that you see and he can give you some information on what's out there in the line of help.

Please got to the hospital, you cannot suffer like this. They cannot deny you can and you have nothing they cannot make you pay. (if you have a home pay 5 dollars a month, they cannot take you to collections if you are making an effort to pay). You need to help yourself, no one should suffer like you are at the moment. If you have already gone to your local hospital too many times and do not feel comfortable going back, go to another one close by, find a clinic or call the help line in your phone book (usually located in the front of the book) You are in my thoughts and prayers, best of luck to you!!
