I think the key word is "Ultra." I hope you are clarifying "Ultra" because you understand most conservatives are not like this, just as I understand most liberals are not "ultra-liberal."
Jesus was not a liberal by today's standards. It's hard to transfer what Jesus taught in that day to present times, politically speaking.
Example; Because he saved the woman caught in the act of adultery, does that mean he would be against ALL death penalty cases?
And, if you noticed, while he saved her, he didn't back down on saying she was wrong. ("Go & sin no more.") I can imagine liberals screaming, "Who are you telling her what to do with her own body!"
He obviously wanted the poor to be taken care of, but does that mean he would have wanted the government to be in charge of it? And 50% of the rich man's income being confiscated to pay for it? That sounds more like Robin Hood than Jesus Christ!
He said you have to pay your taxes, but would he have voted for a politician who advocated fixing things by higher taxes?
He taught obedience to the government, but does that mean he wanted a big government?
I can't imagine Jesus being anything but disgusted by mid to late- term abortions, but the Bible is not specific on the subject. The issue of "when life begins" would have to be answered, first.
There might be two Christians who both want to take care of the poor. One (a conservative) wants to start a private charity - the other (a liberal) wants to start a government program. They may disagree with one another, but they should not act like one is more of a Christian than the other just because they have different ideas on WWJD.

The only way you could "quote" Jesus is if you got it from The Bible of The True Christian Faith... and no one of The Faith is Threatened by The Words of Jesus...But when they are improperly "quoted" and used out of context...as they are continualy by the ememies of God... then the attacker is going to be countered by those who know The Truth... most of the time they should not even bother on forums like YA and others because it is not possable to adiquatly respond in such a limited arena... Why would any one hate Jesus for being a liberal...He was the only compleatly honest and true liberal to ever exist.... those who claim to be "liberal" today are the exact opposit of what they claim to be... if Jesus is properly used as an example of a true liberal.
As you clearly are not of The True Christian Faith, as no one of The True Faith would make a post such as you have... then, while you may have "read" the Bible... you have no understanding of it...as The Bible of The True Christian Faith is not intended for non-believers... and there is nothing in the Bible for non-believers... ony those open to the leading of The Holy Spirit will find, in The Bible, what God has for them there.... no non-believer ever will.

Jesus was not only a Liberal, but an anarchist. he tackled all the big bosses and controlers, yet many conservatives who support control and strong capitalism with a huge gap between the poor and the rich believe in Jesus as their saviour. Another typical example of how self-contradicting they are. If Jesus came back to earth again they would crusify him once again, since he would be against them.

Jesus a Liberal ?? That's funny! I don't believe He associates with a political party, it's more of an individual thing
No wonder this question gets removed, it's stupid. You have a very stupid way of looking at things and drawing almost retarded like conclusions

Beats me. For a nation founded on the the Bible, we sure have digressed alot.
I liked what u said about Jesus being a Liberal. I don't know how U meant that, but if i interpreted right, i agree with you. Jesus was a radical, esp. for his time.

The guild lines say to post the question in what Yahoo consideres the correct catagory. Spiritual should stay in religion.. You will have to think harder, come up with a question that states your idea in non spiritual words.

For his time, Jesus was a liberal. I like that about him most of all.
Can you imagine what this man would think of the hate and bigotry spewed in his name? He would consider the bible an abomination.

Nobody gets "threatened". You're imagining things.
It's unsettling when Jesus' words are twisted to be used in a context other than Jesus intended, though.

They know he was a hippy, long hair, drank wine, smoked the sweet ganja, hung out with a clan of dudes and preached.....
sounds like a hippy to me..
