Can someone tell me please how you determine cooking times when you use double mixture in a cake recipe. I can't imagine it would be double the time.

No, the time wouldn't double. But there's no hard and fast rule b/c it depends upon what shape you're baking. If you bake 24 cupcakes instead of 12, you may only need to add 1 minute. If you bake a thicker 9x13" sheet cake, you may need to add 30 min to a 45 min. bake time.

I'd suggest starting w/ about 10 minutes... when you smell it ready, it is ready.

I'd say about 10-15 min. Just keep an eye on it and gently touch the center. When it springs back its done.

well it would be double the about but, you can just put the heat up an extra 50 degrees and maybe it wont take as long

if you are using a larger pan it wont turn out as good just make 2 seperate batches --dont waste your time or money
