I have a similar condition. Twice now I've worn a heart monitor and the results were the same both times.
About 25% of people have an irregular heartbeat due to the irregular firing of a signal that comes from your brain. The signal is what tells your heart muscles to beat once.
What happens with me is the signal will at times become irregular, and if I monitor my own heart closely, I can feel two to four regular beats, a pause, and then a big THUMP! then several regular beats, another pause, a THUMP! and it continues. Then for weeks my heart is just fine.
The condition has no effect on your health, it's just a curiosity. I'm 42 years old and probably healthier than most younger people. I never get sick even when everyone around me is. I've never had any other health issue and everyone in my family lives past 90.
In extremely rare cases, there is something I've heard of called "pulminary tachocardia" where your heart can stop for long periods without warning, and the result is fatal if you don't get attention within a minute or two, since your circulation just stops.
You can see a doctor about it, and they'll probably give you a harness to wear for 24 hours and tell you the same thing, if these symptoms sound like what you have.

Yes over weight is a BIG issue with the heart beating faster or harder. Because like myself I am over weight and the heart has to pump more blood throughout the body if you are bigger. It has to pump more blood. The best way is to try to lose weight and I know it is hard. Butthats probably the reason it beats faster. Best way to go see a doctor to make sure that everything is okay, and good luck.

You have to go to the doctor, it could be tachycardia. It´s not serious but only a doctor can tell you if you have this and what to do in thus case.
tachycardia: rapid heart rate, an excessively rapid heartbeat, typically regarded as a heart rate exceeding 100 beats per minute in a resting adult

Don't be nervous, just go to the doctor and get checked out. Doctors can help so much with heart problems if that is what you have. Sometime stress can cause these feelings too, but it needs to be diagnosed to be sure. I know from personal experience that you do not need to be afraid, just seek help and you will be fine. \Best wishes

Your heart DOES have to work harder if you are overweight. Get some exercise, stop spending time on video games. Go walk, or run, or jump on a trampoline, or jump-rope.
And stop worrying, that makes it worse!
