I would like to expand my crock-pot recipe book. I honestly can only make pot roast, which amazing considering I cant cook. I would like recipes that are simple and delicious. Dessert recipes would also be nice, no cobblers. Thanx for any and all of the ideas

Crock Pot cooking is sooooooooo easy and fun! It's also a great way to learn to cook. Here's a good starter for you. I don't know what size your crock pot is so I'll just give you round-about amounts and you can adjust to taste.

4 (4 to 6 oz each) Boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 pkg frozen broccoli
(or mixed veggies, or potatos and carrots)
Fresh ground pepper

Put veggies in bottom of crock pot; Lay chicken over the veggies; Sprinkle onion soup mix over chicken and veggies; Grind a bit of pepper over soup mix; Spoon cheedar cheese soup mix on top; Cook on low all day or on high about 4 hours.

Here's some easy tips to make you fall in love with your crock pot:
Use the same recipe above with any meat
Spray your crock pot with no stick cooking spray before adding any food or use the crock pot liners for easy clean up
Don't take the lid off too much. Heat escapes requiring longer cooking times.
When cooking with soup mixes or canned soups, don't add too much salt.
When you do add salt, add it once the cooking done. I add a little salt to my recipes when I'm getting ready to serve rather than early on because it tends to dehydrate the food a bit.
Food will not burn as long as the pot is at least half full or more. If you want to prepare only one or two servings, use a smaller crock pot.
Send me an email if you have any questions or would like some more recipes.
Good luck and have fun!

hi, get a pork loin, put it in a cooking bag with Lipton onion soup mix and some peeled potatoes, carrots, whatever you want. The soup mix gives a great flavor to any meat.
Or you can get a can of peaches in heavy syrup, drain the juice and mix juice with 1/2 cup brown sugar and some pumpkin spice. Pour mixture over roast and then put peaches on pork. Cook 6 - 8 hours on low.
Cooking bags make clean up sooo much easier in a crock pot!

I live in Australia so maybe you like different style of cooking. I am vegan but some of my family eat meat and in winter when I especially hate to smell meat the crockpot is used. I have a Margaret Fulton crockpot cookbook. It has everything from soups, beef, pork lamb, chicken, Mexican, Swedish, fondues, fish, or just vegetable dishes, dhal. desserts are creamy rice, baked custard, fruit and nut compote, pears in red wine and more. I don't know what a cobbler is , but you would have lots of choices to start with and then as you got more confident you could do your own thing without using a recipe.

Beef tips are good in the crockpot. Buy the tips at the meat counter. Brown them in a pan on the stove on a med-high heat to sear them. Put in the crockpot and pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over them. Do not add any liquid to the soup, just put it in straight from the can. Let them cook for 4 - 6 hours. Right before serving, add sour cream and salt/pepper to taste. Serve over rice or pasta. Delicious.

Note: You can also add onions and sliced mushrooms if you like.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMDt9

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Easy Crockpot Beef Roast

1 chuck or rump Beef Roast (sized for your crockpot)
1/2 Cup of Water
1 Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
1 Packet of Italian Dressing Mix
1 Packet of Brown Gravy Mix

Put roast in crockpot, pour water around the base. Sprinkle all 3 dry seasoning packets over roast. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on low. Remove roast to cutting board and let sit 15 minutes; slice thinly across the grain (electric knife works best).

It makes great tasting gravy too, that tastes like you browned it and simmered it all day on the stove.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Beans

Prep: 5 min., Cook: 1 hr. This recipe is perfect for leftover barbecue. Although it calls for pork, feel free to use chopped or shredded chicken, turkey, or brisket. If time is a concern, pick up meat from your favorite barbecue joint (just make sure you get it without sauce to prevent the beans from being too soupy).

1/2 pound chopped or shredded barbecue pork
1 (32-ounce) can pork and beans, undrained
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green peppers and onions, drained
1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon molasses (optional)

Stir together first 6 ingredients, and, if desired, molasses in a 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook at HIGH 1 hour. (You can keep this recipe warm on LOW for up to 2 hours before serving.) Yield: Makes 8 servings
