what is SAP on tv?

there is a sap option on tv sound and I would like to know what those letters stand for

Secondary audio program

For example, a broadcast can have audio in both english and spanish. Click on SAP to get Spanish.

Or SAP can be an auxilliary audio broadcast (commendary, etc.)
