I wonder if the snow or water can damage my digital camera? If yes, then how can I still make photos when snows?

Yes you can take pictures in the snow. Three advices....don't keep your camera in the cold for too long it will make it work a little harder and batteries go a lot faster. Second...look at getting a filter like a UV filer if you have interchangable lenses. If you just have a standard point and shoot camera then just know that the amount of light that enters the camera will be higher than a normal day.

All of the above, plus...

Keep your camera inside your coat to keep the batteries warm.

If you have the choice, select the "Beach/Snow" mode, which will compensate for the bright subject. If not, choose to underexpose by using the EV control in your "P" mode. Go to about EV -1.0 for starters.

We used to take pictures in the snow all the time when we lived in the mountains...It would be good to protect is a little, though...Like putting your hand over the top as you take pictures...Try not to get it wet...

Cover your camera with a plastic bag showing only the lens.
