I have a problem with my digital camera that i cant figure out.
No matter what batteries I put inside the camera, they go dead after 5 minutes!?!
I am wasting loads of money on new batteries because they keep running out! they dont even last an hour.
I have to use Duracel Ultra and the silver Energizer batteries but they only last a few minutes.
and I dont take that many pictures either
can someone tell me what my problem is?

Sounds like you have a short somewhere inside the camera.

Do not use Screen preview all the time. - It is like watching TV.
Do not play around with the Zoom and Tele - It is like your Razor.
Disable the flash when taking outside.
Use the viewfinder to shoot.
Fix your shots to WIDE and set your mode to SHQ. I'll bet you will finish approx 200 shots on a 128 mb. I do this all the time.
2 AA's is not expected to power a space shuttle. That is the reason when new the camera came w/ 16mb or 32mb. SD

Try to use a rechargeable battery with a high amphere rating like 2500 mAh. Digital cameras use a lot of power.

well, as a set of AA's are suposed to last a while, i'd say your camera has a serious short somewhere inside.... and with apair of fully charged batteries thats a couple of amps getting discharged.. and fires happen that way, so be a bit careful with it.
visually inspect the battery chamber and see if anything has fallen inside and is creating a short...like a piece of tinfoil...

Get Nimh rechargables. Nothing else lasts in these power-hungry blighters. Also bear in mind that batteries run down faster if they are cold (ie outside in Winter)

You need to format the card in the camera after every download.

I think that u should try rechargeable batteries and not to have the flash so bright
