Sliced bananas will darken when exposed to air; to keep them from turning brown, toss the slices with a little citrus juice.

If you mash the bananas mix a little lemon juice in with them. If you slice the bananas toss the slices with a squeeze of lemon as well. I've done this before and where the lemon juice helps a little bit they still go a little brown. :( Just how it is.

You can put any type of citrus juice on them. Lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits would all work fine in keeping the browning process at a minimum.
