I was considering joining to loose the extra weight I put on after having my baby 5 months ago. The program is not cheap and I would like to know if it was worth the money for you?

You get your moneys worth if you follow the plan, it is like preparing a meal if you leave something out, it don;t work. I lost 60 lbs. on weight watchers 4 yrs ago and kept it off. go for it, be stubborn and be a "loser"

Last year, I joined weight watchers to support my mom and to boost myself. I just wanted to lose a few pounds quickly, and I did: I lost 15. But, after stopping I gained it back and am back to my normal weight (I'm not really overweight to begin with).

So yes, it does work, but only if you stick with it or atleast stick to their portion sizing/good food - bad food ideas/excersizing.

BTW, there were lots of people at the meetings who had lost anywhere from 10 percent of their total body weight, to roughly 70 pounds!

Good luck :)

My mother very successfully lost 100 lbs. on WW many years ago. I know many people who swear by it.

Personally, it didn't work for me. I just lost 40lbs and am keeping it off. My way was simple and free. I walked 2 miles every night and counted calories. Portion control is key. It is amazing how we as a society forget about portion control because everything is sold in large quantities, especially the meals you eat in restaurants.

I haven't gone on it but a friend of mine has and she lost weight. She said that it's the first diet that has worked for her.
