About two weeks ago I had a cold. I still have the congested cough but feel fine. This morning I woke up and under my left ear down my neck is sore to touch. It is not swollen, just very sore to touch or when I eat and turn my head to the right. Does anyone know why?

That is one of the lymph nodes, which sometimes become swollen when you get a cold. It may be that some of the pathogens enter that area, and the auto-immune response to the infection causes the swelling.

It should go away in a few days; if it does not, see a doctor.

Yes. This will be your gland which takes up the infection. Nothing to worry about, it will pass. Even though you can't feel it, what you describe sounds exactly like a gland problem. If symptoms persist or get worse take a trip to the doctor.

Best wishes
