Congratulations! Now, I just have a few questions. Is the henna you bought pure henna powder, with no additives? A lot of companies don't list their ingredients, or they actually add a green dye to the powder to make it look like a better product (which can turn your hair frog green!). Have you ever dyed your hair with synthetic dyes before? If no to 1, and yes to 2, don't use the henna.

Henna is a wonderful time honored tradition, it is not a brittle or a harsh "dye," as some would like to call it. In fact, it strengthens your hair, and reverses a lot of damage.

So, if you're sure that that the henna is good and clean, I suggest you go to this site: www.hennaforhair.com
It has lists and lists of peoples personal recipes and photos of the results they got from those recipes. Good luck :)

Henna is an extract from the Henna plant. It was used many years ago to produce a red color in hair, however, it has also been discovered to build up in the hair with usage and it can make the hair feel very brittle as it coats the hair shaft. It can also be trouble if you use it and then get a permanent or straightener in your hair. I would think twice before using it.

you see ive put henna on a lot of times and all i do is mix it with water so that it becomes semiliquid... another point id like to add is that it doesnt dye your hair right away you have to use it a couple of times before it works and you shouldnt die you hair 6 months after u use it because it will ruin the hair dye making your hair permenently orange...

No, no, no! You need to stay away from henna.

If you plan to put ANY THING else on your hair--you had better warn the hairdresser you put henna on your hair.

Stick with something you know something about!

Henna is used by Oriental women. It is a very harsh dye.
You won't be able to put anything over it till it grows out or you cut it off!
