she have a month left in her pregnancy, she will not eat anything. the last time i bred her and she did the same thing and the puppy came out super small. Any suggestions on what to buy to make her eat. By the way the first time she had 2 puppies and they came out super healthy, this is her 3rd pregnancy.

my dog is on puppy food now and she is not overly bred, i dont breed her everytime she goes into heat. I am not stupid enough to kill my dog that i paid $400 for which means im not going to feed her raw meat, popsicles, but the broth sounds good except for the fact that i bought some homestyle human like food for dogs and it seems to be too salty because she drinks a lot of water when she tried it but she will eat her milkbone dog treats and any other human food that might drop on the floor by accident. so she will eat just not her dogfood which is iams for puppies/ puppy chow

Ignore the PETA freaks..

It is common for them to get picky at this stage. My cocker was that way. What I did was different things until I found what she would eat. And then each day I would change it.. Here is a list of things to add, but change them around, don't add it all at one feeding..

1.Regular people gravy (I used the canned gravy).
2.Chicken broth warmed and mixed in.
3.Cottage cheese, not to much.. This can be added with the gravy
4.Cooked ground chicken added to her kibble, a little gravy with this is ok too
5. Scrambled eggs, 1 is enough..Do NOT give raw

Don't let people give you a hard time, they are not worth it.
Good luck:-)

It's not unusual for dogs to go "off their food" for a bit when they're pregnant. Sometimes the pups push in against the mom's stomach -- so there isn't a lot of room for food.

When we have a pregnant dog that won't eat, we feed her several small meals a day instead of one or two big meals (so there's less on her tummy at each feeding), and we mix her regular food with boiled hamburger and rice (which makes the meal more appealing).

Try changing her food. She should be on puppy food now anyway. Like another one said, pour some chicken or beef broth over the food. It will give it more flavor. It is important that she eats so that she and the pups will be healthy.

you could try this... what i do for my puppies and the mom....(im 16 n have a miniature pinscher three weeks ago she gave birth to 5 bueatiful pups)....now that im weaning the pups i blend the dry food with water (in the blender) and feed it ...the mom also loves to eat it it is easy for her ... i am pertty sure this will work for i also fed it to her when she was pregnant

also a hard boiled egg that is grated may also work...if not just try the yellow part of the boiled egg

do you sell the puppies im looking for a pom pup....if so how much please contact me at amanda16ramon@yahoo.com

Have you tried canned food or dry puppy food? My female lost her appetite at about 6 weeks gestation, my vet told me to switch her to puppy food (she was a little chubby to start out with, so my vet had me start her on puppy food a little later) and she started eating great. You could also try boiled chicken mixed with her food.

mix a little egg on her food. also, iams makes a marinaid specially for dogs. that may be what it takes. regardless as long as she continues to drink alot of water, she will probably be ok. i would consult my vet if the problem presited, however.

try adding chicken broth to her food and warm it up. If it has been more than 2 days that she hasn't ate call your vet

If she has these issues each time you breed you think you would have got it in your head to spay her the first time. But now a third time. What don't you get? Not only that I highly doubt you are breeding responsibly.
Get her fixed. Why risk her or the pups?
