I have to build a balsa wood bridge. I was wondering what was a good software that I could get in order for me to simulate the stresses on the bridge and potential breaking points.

I have already seen Westpoint Bridge Builder and have worked with that. The only problem is that this program requires you to have a concrete "road" in order for the load to be added.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

You can get a finite element model program for free. Search for Cadre Lite.

Hmmm. You might still be able to use this software. Analysis is really something completely separate from size. The same ideas apply for huge bridges as to a beam that you need a microscope to see. Maybe you can trick the program. Tell it you have a concrete road that is 0 inches thick or .000000001. I have never used this software, but I do work on actual bridge design.
