Yes, and since it is his child you would think that he would willingly pay child support EVERY time he gets paid. Just because he becomes a citizen does NOT mean he can STOP paying for his child. That child is depending on him I am sure.

Becoming a citizen or not he should be paying child support anyway, thats his kid, he helped make and I don't know how or why he met you (maybe for papers), be he needs to support his kid or kids and that should not even be an issue.

He'd have to pay now if the courts knew about it. If the kid's mother had a court order, they'd likely garnish his wages. And yes, he'd have to pay then, also. It is being a father, not being a citizen, that is the root of that responsibility.
