it hurts under the patella and right where the ball of my foot is most of my dads siblings have bad knees

Have you ever been checked for Rheumatoid arthritis? That sounds miserable. Please go and get it checked by your MD. I really hope you get some treatment. And of course it's not OK, and I believe you know that.

My husband let his knee pain go for a long time. Next thing we know he's at UCLA getting a baseball sized tumor out of his leg! Get an x-ray or an MRI!

get it checked by a doctor...if it runs in your family..find out what the other members of your family done to resolve the issue. Or if none of you have yet sought medical advise, I suggest you be the first, so then you can tell the rest of the family...
