I like one that Rachel Ray from the food network does. To fresh or even frozen broccoli add about 3 or 4 cloves of chopped garlic...a healthy drizzle of olive oil...and a nice sprinkle of chili powder and salt. She adds pepper at the end because if the pepper burns in the oven it gets bitter. Put your oven at about 375 and let the seasoned broccoli roast until the edges are brown and crispy looking. Mmm...so good. I love roasted broccoli.

Render down some bacon cut into small pieces then sautee onions and sliced mushrooms in the bacon fat. Toss with freshly steamed broccoli. Yummy! This works really good with brussels sprouts too.

well, to not make it completely unhealthy:

use some "spray butter", something that is lowfat, and spray a little butter on it, then steam it, then sprinkle a little garlic powder on it and perhaps sqeeze a lemon on it.

or put it in the skillet after steaming it, and heat it in the skillet with some spicy olive oil.

This works with cauliflower as well: a few Corriander and cumin seeds with tumeric lightly fried in a little olive oil.

Melt Velvetta on it after cooking and draining. Or dip it in vegetable or ranch dip if raw. Or you could add to Vegetable Casserole.

i use sliced fresh peeled garlic, butter, and a pinch of pepper( to taste). most important dont over cook it. when adding cheese, i prefer to melt it seperatly. then pour it on top at time of serving.
