I asked this question a while ago and I only had one response that was no help at all.
I bought this computer game and when I put it in my desktop computer, It reads it as a CD. It shows all of the music from the game displayed by tracks 1-18. It shows none of the actual files on the disk(installation, exe, image, nothing. On my laptop the CD plays just fine. What is the problem with my computer, I know that it isn't the game, because I already took it back to replace it once. PLEASE HELP. (bejeweled 2 game).

To help narrow this problem down..Some things to think about

I am assuming this is an orignal CD-ROM and not a copy...

Which machine is newer: Laptop or Desktop
What are the OS's for both machines: XP (Home/Pro), 98

If it is a new CD-ROM, you desktop may need some software updating...(SP2, etc..)

On your desktop, are you looking at the CD, via "My computer" or right cliking on start and selecting "explore"...

Do you have a Media player in your start-up files, with it running, it may see the music files and assume it's a CD and ignore the other files..

Hope this helps

If it's an older labtop then it may need some updates. And does your labtop overheat easly because that might be a slight problem if this is true then either let it rest for a while or if you got one of those fans that you put on it you can also try that. The heating of the labtop is probably causing the software to mess up just try these things and if it doesn't work then try considering taking the Labtop to a Technision of find a low price on a New of Slightly used one.
