When I am on pointe, I get mild cramps in the arch of my foot. Also, when I take my shoes off, my big toes are mashed down around the corner of the nail instead of straight across the toe. Finally, when I stand with just one foot on pointe, my ankle keeps sickling. Are my ankles too weak? Will I have to go off pointe? and are there any exercises that i could do to prevent my feet from sickling on pointe?

Probably not, I danced pointe for years, that is just part of the dance, is the pain. It is a pretty awful experience, but your toes bleed, your ankles hurt, it is just part of dancing pointe, your shoes arent the problem

getting cramps is normal you just have to dink lots of water(pop dosnt count) you need to cut your toe nails or your gonna have worse problems than that like infections and junk and finally(lol) your ankles are weak but you dont have to stop pointe you just have to streangthen them put a pony tail or rubberband right before your toes at thet bone and try to seperate you feet like a million times do that for a few days and then see how strong they are keep doning that for several days and youll be better than you think Good Luck!!!

I think talking to your dance teacher is a great idea. I think a nice exercises is to roll up slowly on one foot at the barre, repeating it a few times on both feet. Another good idea is to practice balancing on both feet, and practice getting onto pointe on 1 leg in the center(not rolling up.). You can also try doing piques, or maybe jumping on pointe. Still, talk to your teacher.

SOUNDS LIKE IT TO ME. TALK TO YOUR DANCE TEACHER ABOUT THIS AND SEE WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY.
