Why do NON-MUSLIMS tempt MUSLIMS to sin?

Your scared of Islamic war and terror everywhere in the world, and by being "friends" with a Muslim, you somehow feel assured.

Did you know you are causing Muslims to sin if you make friends with them?

Quran 5:51 : “O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. and he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. verily allah guideth not a people unjust.” http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/005.qmt.html

Dont feel bad, friendship has to be felt by him as well, and he may not at all believe you are his friend, in which case, you havent made him contradict the Quran.

Dont worry, Muslims are only supposed to continue Jihadist genocide on non-muslims until all the world is "for Allah", so its not like forever or anything.

Quran 8:39 “and fight with them until...religion should be only for allah.

I believe you are taking these verses out of context.

The word for friend in that sentence really means protector, and this was written in the context of one particular war in the early history of Islam, wherein the Jews and Christians in that time and in that place were not loyal to the Muslim side. The Qur'an was an ongoing living revelation, and it must be read that way. To not understand the context is to totally misconstrue the text.

Other places in the Qur'an and Hadith make it clear that it is ok for Christians, Jews, and Muslims to be friends.

Here's an idea, why don't you learn to read the book in its language, along with the greek/hebrew version of the bible. It is amazing how much is lost in translation or mis-translated when converting it to english.

And if you want to point out hate filled violence in religious text, look at your own.....The old testament and Revelations is far worse than anything in the Koran.

[5:51] O you who believe, do not take certain Jews and Christians as allies; these are allies of one another. Those among you who ally themselves with these belong with them. GOD does not guide the transgressors.

[5:57] O you who believe, do not befriend those among the recipients of previous scripture who mock and ridicule your religion, nor shall you befriend the disbelievers. You shall reverence GOD, if you are really believers.

3.) **** God afffirming that people who do not make a joke of you religion can be befrineded and are not to be treated unkind or harmed

[60:8] GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable.

[60:9] GOD enjoins you only from befriending those who fight you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them. Those who befriend them are the transgressors.

[060:007] Perhaps God will make friendship between you and those whom you hold as enemies. And God has power (over all things), and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[060:008] God does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, God loves those who deal with equity.

[060:009] It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that God forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zâlimûn (wrong doers – those who disobey God).

This verse 8:39 was about fighting the Idolators who use to worship other than God...

I guess because they are good people and don't want to shun the muslims just because their "holy book" says to be unfriendly and violent.

Seems to me that the rest of the world should give the muslims what they want, avoid them, and resist them.
