I think at some time in our life we all are mentaly ill. If the depression seems to be getting worse you may want to speak to your doctor. The weather has been crazy this year and the holidays seem to make things worse. I would start tanning. This helps with the lack of sun which can cause depression. Then get on a decent diet and exercise program. This will also help. As for myself I have been through a lot of juck of late. There are times I think I just can't do this anymore. But I hang in there because I sure would not want to have to repeat this life again, I may have to anyway but I'm going to try for odds. So don't be down on yourself this is called life and if you think real hard there are things to be thankful for. Hang in there! The good thing is life never stays the same so what your going through now will change that is a givin So hold on who knows whats around the corner.

Many people (especially adolescents) think about suicide from time to time.
There is a very large difference between casual thought and depression though. Even if you're sure now that you won't harm yourself, the depression might worsen to that point that you may. Save yourself the time (and the horrible experience that is depression) and find a good doctor. I found the greatest relief from a Cognitive Psychologist.
You may not be "mentally ill", but we all need help from time to time. There's no shame in helping yourself.
Good luck!

It most certainly does not mean you are mentally ill. The feeling you describe is quite common in teen agers. If the symptoms get worse or are longer in duration you should call a Crisis Line from your area. If you feel like you want to talk to someone about what you are feeling, a psychiatrist or phycologist could be of assistance.

Ok , the only thing that i can say is dont cut your veins . !!
i've cut before but only lightly to rid my frustration, i do not suggest it is the best form of stress relief , but i know where your coming from,
but if you feel your in that situation and you got a sharp object in your hand , dont indanger yourself, because i'm sure its not a good idea.
the best advice i can give is put it down .
plus think years down the line , your have liney scars on your arm and people will know that you are weak , and you want to be seen a strong independant person, so when your feeling so low , think about the future and what good things could be, breath and go to bed , its the best way , so say no to yourself when your about to cut and go have a rest xx

No. It does not mean that you are mentally ill. Thinking a lot about suicide is VERY serious. Talk to someone you trust (parent, minister, school counselor, teacher, etc.) as SOON as possible. You might have a bit of depression that you need help with. Depression can be treated and need not be a lifelong problem.
The trick is to catch it and deal with it as early as possible.
Talk with someone as soon as possible.
In an emergency call 1-800-SUICIDE or your local hospital's emergence room.

It sounds like you're suffering from depression. You need to talk through this with someone.
Speak to someone you trust. Go and see your doctor who can offer you counselling, just to talk things through and get to the root of why you feel down.
Sometimes we go through some really tough times and think they'll be no end. But, in time, things will improve. x x x

It is certainley something oyu should talk to someone about. Be careful who you speak to. I'd go to a youth pastor at a cool church, or call a hotline. Don't let your life be depressing. We owe it to each other to bring the best out of our lives.

You should go to the gym work out super hard, get some exercise, and go tanning. Get some good endorphines flowing, take some multivitimine, and go to a doc.

Maybe you should try to find out what is REALLY bothering you, and deal with that. It could be a Chemical imbalance, so see a doctor.
