To view the log created after running a Check Disk:

Open your Control Panel, click on Administrative Tools,
click on Event Viewer, double-click on Application, scroll
down until you see "Winlogon" and double-click on it.

It depends on how check disk was run:
If you run check disk manually, you will see the results on the screen.
To do that, go to start - run - cmd
a new window will appear, the command prompt. there, run
chkdsk
all results will appear on screen
if you would like the results to appear in a file (called c:\test.txt)
then you will run:
chkdsk > c:\test.txt
most probably, you will not see anything on your screen until the command finishes.

The hard part is when checkdisk is automatically run as part of the windows boot up process (usually due to invalid or unexpected shutdowns) or when you use the GUI to run checkdisk (as in tools- check disk). In that case, to see the results:
go to start -> control panel -> administrative tools -> event viewer.
in event viewer, select the 'system' log on the left pane. All system related issues are logged by your computer and appear in this tool. look on the right pane for any event related to checkdisk (the title or source will make it clearer for you).
I hope this solves your question!

To my knowledge, you type chkdsk in the RUN command and a cmd prompt will show up and run the actual check disk. It will then give you the results (make sure you specify which drive)
