ckm1956 is essentially correct. Everyone is different. Another thing to consider is what each medication consists of. IE; binders, fillers and amount of active ingredient. Some of these substances can effect how quickly the medication is absorbed into the bloodstream. That said the general consensus is that Oxycodone is about twice as strong as Hydrocodone but as is stated above your mileage may vary.

I take hydrocodone for RA and it is only slightly better than 2 Excedrin.

Hard to say. Some people get little relief from oxy, but hydro works well. For others, oxy does work better.
