I would never condone this or anything but, when I get really bad headaches, I will sometimes buy a six pack of liquor (Malt drinks-Smirnoff Ice, etc) and drink just two bottles. This usually helps me take the edge off enough that I can sleep the rest of the headache away.

For some people a cold pack on the back of the neck works.

Weirdly enough when I used to have hormone headaches I would pull my hair (big hand fulls) gently and it helped. But I also used hot wet towels on my face, and the back of my neck, and it always helped.

Wet and wring out a hand towel 30-40 seconds in the microwave.
Put it on your face and the back of your neck at hot as you can stand it, when it cools repeat. For me it is great, especially for sinus headaches.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Cold compress on your head or neck and drink LOTS of water. Caffeine often works too. But if you drink a soda you'll still need water.
