I would rather walk through a park or a neighborhood. It does not seem like exercise-just a nice walk. Walking on a treadmill is tedious at best! Ugh!

The benefit to walking on a treadmill is that you can stay within the privacy of your own home, and if you're easily distracted you can watch a movie or something while you're doing it. I don't like jiggling around my neighbourhood and also all the houses look the same after a few turns... the temperature is always varied so sometimes it can be uncomfortable, and I would rather walk in one place than walk far and have to walk all the way back.

i would actually rather walk on a treadmill because when i want to stop I can and it's also easier on my ankles because when i jog sometimes my ankles hurt. But if it's really nice weather I guess I would go through the neighborhood. I don't like excersising in fron tof people though - unless I'm walking with my dog - then i would go through the neighborhood. (keeps me AND my dog healthy) : )
