It has to be an equal relationship. I am quite a dominant person as in I organise things,decision-maker etc and have tended to date guys who have been quite laid-back. But you get bored orgnising etc after a while and wish your partner would take responsibility for decision making etc.
It doesn't work if a woman does everything -if she is a strong personality, she needs some competition from time to time!

If by "malleable and tractable" you means rich and willing, yes

Interesting question. I've really never been the one to "wear the pants" in my relationships. I think I've had rather equitable relatoinships in terms of power and give-and-take, but in looking back, many of my partners are the kind of men who "take charge" in real life, inspire confidence in me and those around him, and to be assertive in their demeanor and attitudes. That's not to say they are a**holes, just that they are....strong-willed, confident, able to take charge of situations. I like that in a man.

In bed, I usually take charge. :P

Whatever works.......as long as the dominant one isn't abusive.
