I always loved my engagement ring. I chose it myself. It's an 18ct white gold solitaire with plain shoulders. When it was first bought it was a size i !! My husband paid £40 for it. That was over 35 yrs ago. Unfortunately we split up after 30yrs of marriage. I still have my ring and will probably give it to my daughter when I'm ready to. 2 yrs ago I was on holiday in St Maarten in the Caribbean and visited the Amsterdam Diamond Gallery. I personally chose a 1/2ct diamond and an 18ct white gold setting. (It cost a tad more than £40!!)This was made up for me within the hour. I absolutely love it. My engagement ring still has a special place in my heart hence the reason I havent parted with it yet.

My perfect engagement ring is an antique diamond ring. I like a princess cut diamond and a petite ring.

My perfect engagement ring was chosen for me by my husband - it is one I would have chosen if I'd done it myself! It is 3 antique diamonds side by side, on a gold band of traditional setting. (The original setting was worn out, but the diamonds were remounted on a band the same as the original.) I love it.

i have the perfect engagement ring - it's a white gold band, with a diamond solitaire.... it's a beautiful ring, and i loved the way the diamond caught the light.... i hate overly fussy rings - i think they look cheap and nasty. only problem with my ring is that i no longer wear it coz the guy who bought it for me turned out to be a lying toe rag !!!

First nothing less that 3 carats princess cut with emerald side stones, platinum band with a sweet message inscribed in the ring.
Second.... 4 carat Pink diamond with diamond stones circling the pink diamond again platinum band
Third 3 carat emerald cut diamond with 1 carat diamonds surrounding the stone.
What can I say..I know what I want!:D

I never wanted a huge three-stone diamond ring or a solitaire.
When me and my fiance decided to get married i knew exactly what i wanted.
A simple diamond band.
We went and picked out the ring together.
