if someone talked badly about you, then I'm sure you feel like giving them a taste of their own medicine. But spreading a bad rumor about them will create more problems for YOU. The other person is bound to find out and say more bad things about you, you'll create more enemies, and your friends might be forced to take sides. BAD IDEA.

The best way to make that other person feel like c.r.a.p. would be to do the exact opposite of what they expect. basically, GUILT them! Act really nicely to that person, tell other people good things about him/her, and try to get those ppl to tell the person that you've been saying nice things. The person will be forced to see that you truly respect and like them...and they'll feel absolutely HORRIBLE for ever saying anything bad about you. You'll gain a lot of friends instead of enemies beacause ppl like being friends with those who are positive, and lots of people may even turn against the person who said bad things, because they don't want to be friends with someone who says bad things for no reason.

although it may be against your instincts to be nice instead of mean to this person, it'll really give you the upper hand in the situation!

it's really bad karma to mess with that. just either confront that person, or if you can't don't worry, karma will get them in the end. and remember, people badmouth others to make themselves feel better, so this person must not like themselves very much
