She has to have good personal hygiene and an aptitude for domestic tasks. No: I don't expect her to be a domestic slave, but she has to be worthy of my trust -- which includes being a good steward of our shared assets.
She's equally comfortable "roughing it in the outback" and hosting a formal dance; in every circumstance, she is well-poised.
She is "comfortable in her skin," and is attractive regardless her attire.
She is faithful and loyal, adventurous, curious and intelligent.
Her political and religious opinions and beliefs are both compatible with and remarkably similar to my own.
She doesn't need me to have a life of her own, but she believes that the relationship between her and me enhances her life. As a result, I get both to contribute to and to share in her happiness.
She and I have to be compatible physically, or we at least need to work together to arrive at a solution that allows us both to achieve a reasonable degree of sexual satisfaction.
I like full lips; soft, healthy hair; a complexion somewhere between very good and perfect.
I'm not crazy about very dark skin, but I've seen some "dark browns" that appealed to my sense of the aesthetic; some people look better with a deep tan and others look better with very light skin.
Perhaps interestingly with respect to my aesthetic sense, the range of acceptable skin colorations and tones is probably equally broad for men and women; however, the range for men is shifted towards darker colors/tones than the range for women. That's not a big deal for me, though, since I'm straight.
