i just got my hair relaxed for the first time yesterday and i wanna go work out. my stylist told me not to wash my hair for a couple days, cause my hair might go back to its normal state but will the sweat from my head make my hair go back to curly?

When it was our semestrial brake I also got my hair relaxed. But my hairstylist told me that I can still bath my hair but I only need to use conditioners. She told me that I should not use shampoos for my hair. So I used those and for the days I think my hair do like it.

The sweat wont actually affect your relaxer but the reason your stylist told you not to wash it for a couple days is because the water and shampoo could disrupt the chemical bonds in your hair that made it go from curly to straight. By waiting a couple of days to wash your hair those new chemical bonds will be stronger and less likely to revert back to the curly state. Obviously if you work out and you sweat you are going to want to wash your hair after wards....I would wait.

Your hair has been chemically altered, it won't go back to it's normal state until it's time for a touch-up. If anything, you should wash and deep conditon your hair every 4 days after a relaxer to help put moisture back in your hair from the chemical stripping it. So to answer your question, yes, it's ok to go work out.

I don't think it will, but the sweat might make your hair slightly greasy, and since you can't wash your hair for a while you don't want to add to the greasyness.

well if you do want to work out you should do it lightly because your hair will sweat out and you dont want that.
