A Prayer for Saddam?

In response to various postings.....
At every hanging, or execution, Someone, (a clergy) is present, to say (for all thier misgiven deeds) God rest thier sole.
Who will rest this man's sole....and forgive the man, the puppet, twisted by the worlds super powers, manipulated, bribed, encoraged, and finally killed, by manipulation.
As men, if we cannot say rest in peace, to him, hitler, and the worlds deviants, at moment of death..how can we ever move on, improve, and change?
The man is dead. Let it go.
To do other wise, we become them.

Amanda..the correct answer is Saddam was a muslim thug! This has nothing to do with the perceived misdeeds of Bush or Blair. I would take from your answer that you in fact support the likes of Saddam, Bin Laden or even Hitler simply because they threatened destruction of Jews or Infidels..bet you don't even acknowledge the holocaust..you are a disgrace to humanity..suggest you cover your mouth instead of your hair, that would be more in keeping with modesty!!

he's dead the people who were killed have justice
His soul will not have retribution
the earth will suffer for a long time due to his fanatical ways
the people who suffered his regime will need years to rebuild their lives
the dictatorship she produced will continue to kill women children our men
his like Hitler's dictatorship will be taught in years to come through history so it shall never fully end or there will always be someone who believe he was right

HE DESERVES HIS DEATH if you abuse life you will be abused
to let it go would mean to ignore his existence can that be done ??

Jesus said to love your enemies. I'm a Christian and see why enemies need to be loved.
Think about evil people like saddam and other murders. What might have led them into this? Think about soldiers fighting for rebel groups or harsh governments. Think of how they have been mislead? The truth is that people that can do such terrible things have problems. You can scale this down a bit to onto a day to day situation.
Thinking about bullies and that. It's proven that they often do it because there having a hard time theirselves. They might be from a poor family or they might be neglected.
That is why Jesus taught people to love their enemies and to pray for them.

Try telling that to all the poor innocents he so cruelly tortured and killed. I don't bear grudges, never have, but this man deserves no sympathy. Although I think it wrong that he was taunted at the time of his death.

I agree with you. He had six soles when he hanged. Two soles of his feet, two soles of his socks and two soles of his shoes. Or at least four if they did not put his shoes on.
